Denis Vickers, judge at our annual allotment competitions, is holding a plant sale in aid of the Air Ambulance.
There will a wide range of flower and vegetable plants on sale at the event at The Larch, Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0PB, on Saturday, April 28 from 10am to noon.

The first working party of 2018 will take place on Saturday, March 24. Committee members plan to work on repairs to the road. If you can spare an hour or two, your help would be gratefully received. Meet at 10am in the main car park.

Cropwatch Horticulture of Dover is holding an open evening this month where you will be able to buy tools, equipment, fertiliser, pots, seed trays and a range of growing products.
The event takes place at Martin’s Nursery, Poison Cross, Statenborough Lane, Eastry, CT13 0DL, on Monday, March 26 from 6pm to 8pm.

Here’s a chance to make a great start to the new growing season with some bargain offers.
The committee has stocked up on the following items for members to buy: Growmore at £1 per kilogram; garden lime at £1.50 per 2 kilograms; chicken pellets at £9 for a 20 kilogram bag; blood, fish and bone at £1 per kilogram; 8ft bamboo canes at 40p each.
All proceeds go into the association’s funds
They can be bought at the large container this weekend – on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
