You may have noticed hop plants growing on a number of allotments on the site last year as part of the Deal Hop Farm community project.
If you are interested in joining the project this year or simply want to find out more about it, follow the link below for news of the 2018 launch meeting and a number of information sessions.
Here’s a chance to make a great start to the new growing season with some bargain offers.
The committee has stocked up on the following items for members to buy: Growmore at £1 per kilogram; garden lime at £1.50 per 2 kilograms; chicken pellets at £9 for a 20 kilogram bag; blood, fish and bone at £1 per kilogram; 8ft bamboo canes at 40p each.
All proceeds go into the association’s funds
They can be bought at the large container this weekend – on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
If you haven’t been able to pick up your seed potatoes yet there will be a few more chances in the coming week.
They will be available for collection at the large container by the barbecue area on Wednesday (January 17) from 10am to noon, on Saturday (January 20) from 10am to 2pm and on Sunday (January 21) from 10am to 2pm.
Please bring full payment with you if you have not already paid for them.
The next committee meeting is on Monday January 15. If there is anything you would like members to discuss please email the secretary at pearlygran@yahoo.co.uk
